How Is The Rh-01 Hub Engine Less Than 200watts Output?
Authorities have not yet advised a recognised standard for testing the power of any Auxiliary Motor fitted to a bicycle.

All Rotary power output figures are given as 'Shaft or Effective Power' similar to the way a marine outboard power is quoted, as this is the only point of OUTPUT to assist propulsion.

Where else do you measure the 'output' of an Internally Geared Hub Power Unit, electric or petrol ? You can't measure it at the armature or crankshaft, the unit won't run, nor would this be termed 'output'.

It makes no difference whether electric or petrol, power before internal gear reduction of a hub motor cannot be actively measured, nor is it useable to assist propulsion anyway (same applies to an outboard marine engine).

Due to the very low output rotational speed of hub motors for bicycles, resultant power available for use is also very low.

Some time ago a single page technical paper was written to cover this comment, and has been posted below. We invite all to read.
